Youth and Conservation – from Borneo to the Bay Area
Here at Transition Earth, we've been thinking of how we can build real connection to youth in other parts of the world who are protecting their communities, to help people better understand our impact on the planet and how we can make a difference in our daily lives.
That's why we want to foster a partnership with the ASRI Kids
program in Indonesian Borneo to follow the lives of local youth and exchange stories with youth here – and people of all ages – about what's affecting our communities around the world and how we can work together.
To start, we are raising funds to donate to ASRI Kids in their community of Sukadana, in support of the clinic's work educating youth. We hope that this partnership will be a learning exchange and opportunity to cultivate greater understanding of how we are connected.
Beginning next month, we’ll highlight some of the ASRI Kids and how this program is fostering greater environmental and health awareness in Borneo. Stay tuned!
