July 4th Traffic Safety: Behind the Scenes

News from LPD

Each year the city's Independence Day Celebration requires all hands on deck from LPD to ensure a safe and fun time. Here is a highlight of the parade from our vantage point:
LPD Parade
As part of keeping you safe, LPD and Loveland Public Works ensures traffic direction is set up before, during, and after the parade and fireworks. While you were watching the fireworks, LPD was busy placing cones to change the flow of traffic to a one-way pattern to keep vehicles flowing out of the city.
At Karl Brown Way @ East Loveland Ave. and the Five Point Intersection, the traffic cones were set to move traffic in a one-way directional flow to reduce the backup and wait time that is created by stopping for light changes.

LPD has been doing this for several years and plans to continue. So, next year, please continue to look for these traffic patterns and LPD officers to assist as you are leaving Loveland's July 4th Celebration!

Online Permit Applications Now Available

If you are applying for a property, construction or building permit, you can now start the process online.
