37th Annual Veterans Wheelchair Games

Each summer, Veterans from across the United States, including a team from Great Britain, travel to a new community.  The City of Cincinnati will host the 2017 Games July 16 through July 23 at the Duke Energy Convention Center and other community locations.

During the week, Veterans compete in 18 adaptive sporting events such as swimming, bowling, boccie, trap shooting, basketball, and quad rugby.  Seasoned Veteran athletes encourage and serve as mentors to newly disabled Veterans while fans see firsthand limitations are only a state of mind.

Over 3,000 volunteer opportunities are available and range from light duty to physically challenging assignments. To get involved, Contact Tracy Butts at 513-487-7048 or 513-861-3100 ext. 4957.  Or sign up at www.wheelchairgames.org.
