Filing your City of Loveland Income Tax Returns


If you are at least 18 years of age and live or earn income in the City of Loveland, you must file an income tax return with the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA).  All residents must file a return, even if no tax is due.   If you had no taxable income for the entire year, you may file an exemption form and enclose the front page of your Federal Form 1040.  Residents and businesses can file their local income tax returns with RITA using the following methods:
  • RITA eFile: Click here and click “My Account” to securely file your return through RITA’s website.
  • Individual Paper Forms: Click to download and print the appropriate return form and mail to RITA at the address listed on the form.
  • Business Paper Forms: Click to download and print the appropriate return form and mail to RITA at the address listed on the form.
The deadline to file your 2016 tax return is April 18, 2017.  If you have questions regarding filing your City taxes, please contact Dawn Everett at 513-707-1452. Should you receive her voicemail, please leave a message and it will be returned during her next working day.

New and Noteworthy


Amy Van Strien received Loveland's 2017 Louis G. Rockwood Community Volunteer Award. Amy is a member of the Loveland Sustainability Council and a volunteer for NEST, an organization that provides sound Nutrition and targeted Education in a Safe neighborhood environment that will Transform the outcome of at-risk school-age children in Loveland.

Fischer Process Industries, located at 155 Commerce Blvd., was awarded Loveland's 2017 Business Enhancement Award.  Fischer Process Industries is a leading distributor of pumps, valves, and process equipment servicing Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Georgia and Alabama. Their 16,000 sq. ft. headquarters is located in Loveland's Commerce Park, which serves as their central warehouse and service center. We also congratulate Fischer Process Industries as they celebrate 60 years of service.

Loveland City Council adopted legislation requiring all sign modifications within the Historic District to be approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission.

City Council also adopted regulations for transient businesses and vendors, mobile food vendors and food trucks that operate within the City.

The Planning and Zoning Commission approved signage for a new business, Brick Oven Loveland, at 390 Loveland Madeira Road. 

The repaving and widening of the bike trail is scheduled for the third week of April.

Representatives from the City of Troy, Ohio, toured Loveland to view recent developments as they begin a study of their own downtown district.

A ceremony celebrating the City's designation as a Buckeye Trail Town has been scheduled for Saturday, April 22, at 11 a.m. in Nisbet Park.  The ceremony will include representatives from Buckeye Trail Town and the unveiling of the City's Trail Town plaque.

Great American Cleanup


Loveland's Tree and Environment Committee has set this year's Annual Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 29, from 9:00 a.m. until noon.  If you would like to volunteer, meet at the Little Miami, Inc. Visitor Center, 211 Railroad Avenue (near the bike trail and Nisbet Park).  Supplies, drinks, and t-shirts will be provided while supplies last. 

Calling All Volunteers!


Thousands of flowers are coming in for the summer season and Loveland's Beautification Committee needs all the help they can get.  Join us on Saturday, May 6, and Sunday, May 7, to help plant flower beds, hanging baskets, and bridge boxes.  With your help, Loveland will look brighter and more beautiful than ever just-in-time for summer.  To volunteer, email Jessica at jclingenfelter@yahoo.com.

Employment Opportunity


The City of Loveland has begun the process of hiring a new police officer.  Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and OPOTA Certification at the time of appointment.  Applications are available at the Loveland Safety Center, 126 S. This Month In Ohio History


April 26, 1900 - Charles Richter, seismologist, was born in Hamilton, Ohio.  He developed the Richter Scale for measuring the amplitude of earthquakes.

April 17, 1964 - Jerrie Mock became the first woman to complete a solo airplane flight around the world.  Her journey begun on March 19 in Columbus, Ohio.

April 24, 2005 - An unusual spring storm dumped nearly two feet of wet snow on parts of the Midwest and Appalachians, covering newly sprouting plants, snapping power lines, and taking a bite out of baseball.  80,000 people in the Cleveland area lost their electricity.
