Independence Day Celebration

The city will host its annual event on Monday, July 4 featuring a kid zone, lawn games, concert, parade, fireworks and more! This community event is supported by numerous local businesses through sponsorships. Community Risk Reduction

News from LSFD

The Loveland-Symmes Fire Dept. offers two programs for residents to provide information to paramedics, which can be helpful if an emergency should occur.

Senior Med-Program: Collects information for senior citizens
Pedi-Med Program: Collects information for children with special needs

All information is provided to LSFD on a voluntary basis. An LSFD staff member will interview the citizen for relevant information such as allergies, hospital preference, family notification, etc. To learn more, please visit lsfd.org or call (513) 677-7000.

Grant to Improve Tot Lots

As part of an ongoing neighborhood revitalization effort, the city has secured a $75,000 grant to upgrade the Loveland Heights’ playgrounds with new playsets and free public Wi-Fi. Construction will begin in Spring 2023.

HOMEARAMA® Dates Changed

The 59th annual HOMEARAMA® 2022 has been rescheduled to Sept. 3-18, 2022. The show was previously scheduled for Aug. 6-21. Loveland Residents Day will be held Sept. 9. On this day, residents will receive discounted admission to the show.

Main & Chestnut Project: Paving was completed in mid-May, and traffic signal work is scheduled to be completed in June. Read more about this project.

Chestnut Street Property Remediation: The project's environmental contractor is working on a wetland report to determine the steps for moving forward with cleanup of the property. Learn more.

2022 Road Program: This year's budget included $1.2 million for the road repair/paving program! The streets (or sections of streets) that will be included are posted here. Some work has already started and will continue through the summer.

School Spotlight


Loveland City School District unveiled its Strategic Vision on June 6. A Launch Night was held in the Middle School Cafeteria to give community members a chance to review the plan. The plan is the result of a months-long process involving community meetings and discussion. The Strategic Vision focuses on four goal areas: student success, collaborative culture, community engagement, and fiscal responsibility, and should serve as the district’s strategic plan for the next five years. LEARN MORE
