Dear Friends,

While in Cambodia a couple weeks ago, I woke up during the night with excruciating back pain (no exaggeration, I thought I was dying it was so painful). At 1:30am, I ended up down in the lobby asking the hotel desk clerk to rush me to the hospital ER. Over the next two days I was in and out of the hospital in Phnom Penh three different times and once at a roadside clinic for an MRI. After one night admitted to the hospital, doctors weren't sure what the cause of my pain was. I was feeling good enough to fly back to Thailand and was given pain meds just in case. Two flights later, I returned home to my family in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Was so good to be home with my family and sleep in my own bed! However, the following day I ended up going to the hospital in Chiang Mai with those same back pains, I was admitted and sent for a CT scan this time. The CT scan picked up on a ureter stone, at least now we knew what it was. Doctor wanted the stone to pass on its own and with pain meds we waited and waited. Was discharged for one night but ended up back in the hospital the following day, once again admitted. Finally the doctor said he would need to go in and remove the stone. It ended up having the be blasted and a stent put in place (it was just removed the other day). I've been home now for a few nights with some recurring pain, so please continue praying for me! I want to thank my brother Lucian who was visiting at the time this all happened, it was a blessing to have him by my side during some uncertain and difficult days. I also appreciated all of Dara's help while I was in Cambodia, he never left my side the entire time I was there, took such good care of me! Of course Hlawn Hlawn did an amazing job with the kids and "holding down the fort" while I was laying around in the hospitals. Many other people too that stayed with me and helped in different ways, visited me while in hospital, etc...and SO many people were praying! Thank you!
