As many of you have already heard, Mary 'Maime' Gascho, our former club Manager and Mike’s mother passed away this past weekend. Mary was the friendly face of the club for 30 years. Our sincere condolences go out to Mike and his family during this difficult time.

Her obituary can be read by clicking here.
Hopefully you have had a chance to get out and enjoy the course. Even with the late spring, the course is in great shape and recovering quickly from the installation of the irrigation system. Jim Myerscough tells us the new system is working well.

We are continuing to adjust to the pandemic and are pleased to announce the following changes:
  • The driving range is now open, with designated areas to ensure physical distancing.
  • We have 6 additional power carts arriving this week.
  • We will be reducing the time between tee times to 12 minutes starting this weekend.
  • We have a new staff member, Victoria, joining us to work in the Pro Shop this season.
We have had some issues with the timeliness of groups for their tee times. While we recognize it may be difficult trying to time your arrival to avoid arriving too soon, there have been a number of cases of folks arriving late and expecting to go directly to the tee.  Please work with us by arriving well enough in advance of your tee time to keep the flow of players going smoothly. This will be more important as we move to 12 minutes. If you are late, you may lose your tee time and have to wait until others go ahead.

Lastly, thanks to those that have already donated for the final push of our fundraising for the irrigation system. If you have pledged a donation in 2020, have not donated yet, or would like to add to a previous donation you can do so at the National Sports Trust Fund – Ontario. All donations will be matched.

See you on the course!

Bill Baker

Message from Mike

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who has reached out with kind words of love and support. The kindness of our community has made an impossible time just a little more bearable. Coming to work has been a much needed respite.
  • I'd like to thank Christie Broad, Angela Wright, and Ross and Jane Sedore for their work on the gardens...they look great!
  • I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Victoria Heacock. She will make a great addition to the Pro Shop team.
  • A limited selection of beer is now available on a take-out basis, which requires the purchase of food.
  • Processing of memberships will begin next week. Please ensure that your up-to-date payment information has been made available.
  • Pro Shop merchandise will be arriving over the next couple weeks. We will be adding shoes to our stock this year, which is pretty exciting. See below for some other great new custom items that are available for pre-order.
Thanks everyone. We're off to a great start this season.

Mike Gascho
