To all organizations concerned about food security:
If you want to work for food security for all, please take 15 minutes TODAY, November 17, to help us stop Bill 23.
Please stop Bill 23 by taking these three critical actions:
You can make any edits or add any wording to emphasize specific impacts for your community (or you can leave it as is). It is easy to upload, and should take you a maximum of 15 minutes.
The document above includes background information and instructions on how to submit a written comment.
Stopping this Bill depends on all of us taking action today!
- So please share this information with other organizations you work with, who can do the same by 7 p.m.
- You can also send out the message directly below through your communications channels today, encouraging everyone to write their MPP. This is the easiest action for individuals to take, (including all of us in organizations who can write as individuals) and will ensure MPPs know that Bill 23 needs to be stopped and re-written to meet broader community interests that include affordable housing, food security and the protection of foodlands/farmlands/wetlands.
Please write your MPP today:
Please stop Bill 23. We need a new bill that does not pit housing security and the protection of wetlands/farmland against each other, two things we desperately and equally need, in order to support food security for all. We have better solutions that benefit our diverse communities and our diverse environments. Our community food security relies on better decisions now.
