Temple Tantrum

The DZL is excited to be a part of Temple Tantrum on September 1st and 2nd. Streets will be blocked for this phenomenal event and tickets range from $25-55.

Please note that you will not be able to access the DZL Labor Day weekend unless you're attending the event.

Crush Walls

The DZL will have a display of zines at CRUSH WALLS 2018, so come check us out on September 3-8 between 2-8pm and/or September 9 between 2-5pm.

Aaron Cometbus is coming to Denver

For almost 4 decades, Cometbus Magazine has been an institution within the punk community. At the foundation of the East Bay/Berkeley and Gilman Street punk movements, Aaron Cometbus has been an indispensable voice, documenting and analyzing the human condition through a remarkably unique lens. 

Sept 13 at Sie Film Center
Ratio Brewing is hosting a screening of Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk along with a Q&A with Aaron Cometbus and Anna Brown.

Sept 15 at Mutiny Information Cafe
Cometbus to share stories, read letters, answer questions and give away cool stuff.

Meow Wolf DIY Fund

The submission process is open for the 2018 Meow Wolf DIY Fund is open through Sunday, September 30 and then notifications and funding will be disbursed in December.

From Meow Wolf:

Our goal this year is to raise awareness for the DIY Community, and raise $100,000 online through Indiegogo. We have some great perks for donating too, so we hope you’ll be able to chip in and #SupportDIY.

DIY Fund Criteria: 

Community Impact - we want to see your space's importance in the community

Established - we want to support established organizations, which includes website, social media, images on the application, or news articles

Cross Directional - not just music spaces, not just art spaces, community spaces

Not funded by large organizations and outside sources, must receive less than $50,000 per year to qualify

Your application can ask for rent, infrastructure, paying artists, holding community events etc.
