Free and Low Cost Assistive Technology of the Week

GrackleDocs
For Google Docs and GSuite
Special thanks to Andrea from TSVI for this tip

GrackleDocs is an addon to GoogleDocs that lets writers check that the document is accessible. You run the Addon and Grackle Docs audits your document and shows you what isn’t accessible by way of neatly organized groups. Inside each group are checkboxes to be checked. Grackle explains and helps resolve each accessibility snag. Step-by--step, once you have made a change you can run Grackle again and confirm that problems have been fixed.

You can download Grackledocs from https://www.grackledocs.com/

Documents produced should meet WCAG 2.0 standards, and GrackleDocs will export a tagged, accessible PDF version for Section 508 compliance. If you share your doc with other users the accessible design can go with it. You can make any Google Doc accessible, within Google Docs as it is created .
