RELEASE: FMR. RNC CHAIR GOV. MARC RACICOT CALLS FOR
INCLUDING GOVS. JOHNSON & WELD IN DEBATES
Sept. 13, 2016, Salt Lake City, UT -- Gov. Marc Racicot, a former Republican National Committee Chairman, has joined a growing list of voices who are calling for Govs. Gary Johnson and Bill Weld to be included in the debates sponsored by the Commission on Presidential Debates this Fall.
Gov. Racicot served as governor of Montana from 1993 to 2001, and as chairman of the Republican National Committee from December 2001 to July 2003.
In announcing his call for the inclusion of Govs. Johnson and Weld in debates, Gov. Racicot said:
“I’ve known Gary for a long time. We served together as governors when he was in New Mexico and I was in Montana. I have not made up my mind about who I will vote for or if I will vote. I certainly will not vote for Trump or Clinton. I would like to hear from Gary Johnson before I make my final decision. Before I decide if I am voting or not, which would be a sad state of affairs.”
