Clean Tech Showcase Award Winners named on October 4
What a show we enjoyed in Melbourne on October 4!  Congratulations to smart pen creator Inkerz, waste to heat producer Capricorn Power and livestock tracking company Aglive on taking home the Smart Cities, New Energy and Alumni Award respectively at the Clean Tech Showcase for 2018.

Following a morning of investor/partner speed-dating for each of our Clean Tech finalists, companies took to the stage in the afternoon in front of ATC Judges and a guest audience at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. It was here that Capricorn Power, Inkerz, Sunovate and Ynomia showcased their global potential alongside a number of ATC Alumni, including: Aglive, MineExcellence, RAYGEN and Everty.

The results of Thursday's Clean Tech Awards Ceremony were as follows:

2018 Smart Cities Award Winner = Inkerz
2018 Smart Cities Runner-up = Ynomia

2018 New Energy Award Winner = Capricorn Power
2018 New Energy Runner-up = Sunovate

2018 Alumni Winner (As voted by the audience) =
Aglive Group Limited

Helping to officiate the Ceremony was the Hon. Lily D'Ambrosio, Minister for Energy, Environment & Climate Change.  In addition to congratulating Award winners, Minister D'Ambrosio talked about recent clean tech funding initiatives in Victoria towards electric vehicle charging sites and solar homes.

The Australian Technologies Competition also welcomed special guests, Susan Oliver, Chair of Scale Investors and Christopher Lee, CEO of Climate KIC Australia to speak on the importance of scaleup support, investment tools, mentors and programs that serve to cultivate Australia's innovation ecosystem.

ASEAN Tech Challenge // 6-7 December 2018 SYDNEY

Austrade, AirAsia - RedBeat Ventures and PETRONAS - Technology Venture Capital will host the ASEAN Tech Challenge in Sydney on 6 and 7 December 2018.

The ASEAN Tech Challenge is a unique platform for Australian startups and scaleups to pitch solutions to prominent ASEAN and Australian based corporate and investors.  Target industries:Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Energy Resources.  Submit an EOI by 15 October.
