Hello Melbourne
Victoria named the proud host state of this year's ATC National Finals & Awards Ceremony
ATC to celebrate its 10th Anniversary in Victoria!

We’re proud to announce that this year's National Finals & Awards Ceremony of the Australian Technologies Competition (ATC) is being hosted in Victoria on Tuesday 20 October, thanks to the Victorian Government's Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, and Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions.  We're still awaiting the green light in terms of social distancing - but whether its a virtual event or in-person during October 2020 - you won't want to miss this grand finale in Australia's startup state!

Melbourne is regarded as one of the world's most liveable cities and is home to an excellent range of incubators, accelerators, coworking spaces and research bodies.  It also has an outstanding collaborative culture supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.  Our Melbourne-based partners include StartupVic, LaunchVic, GlobalVic, the Victorian Cleantech Cluster, Hatch Quarter, TiE Melbourne, MTPConnect, AIIA, AMTIL, Cyrise, MAP, Scale Investors and more.  Further below, some of ATC's Victorian alumni share their thoughts on what makes the State a great place to live, work and grow a global business.

As many of you know, we received a total of 217 entries across 12 Award Categories this year, our largest application numbers to date and wow, so many high calibre entries!  Our Judges are in the final stages of assessment, with semi finalists to be announced on 15 June 2020.

The Australian Technologies Competition seeks to identify, accelerate and promote Australian deep tech scaleups and SMEs with global potential.  Now more than ever, innovation is the key to Australia's recovery from the COVID induced recession and building a robust and sustainable economy.

As we await news of this year's semi finalists, please save the date for 20 October, the day of our National Finals & Awards.  Whether it be a virtual event or in-person event in Melbourne, it's bound to be a show stopper!  Further details on how to pre-register noted below.

Best regards,

Pat Mooney, ITV Chairman
(ATC Organiser)
