Enjoy!

NWLF ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The Terrace Public Library was our welcoming host for the Federation’s 2016 conference in October, where 45 library staff and trustees took the opportunity to meet, share and learn with their Northwest library colleagues, joined by guest speakers, trainers and Libraries Branch staff.

The three-day program included staff-specific, trustee-specific, and joint staff/trustee sessions; board, library director, and staff round table meetings; and lots of networking opportunities at breakfast, lunch and dinner each day.

Entitled Inspiring Libraries, Connecting Communitiesa vision for public library service in BC, the plan sets out a new vision, an expanded provincial library strategy, and highlights the changing role of public libraries. It's an important read for anyone who works in or with BC public libraries.
