Reports are in...and Pennsylvania is failing again…
American Lung Association as released their yearly State of Tobacco Control and once again, Pennsylvania is one of the worst in the class. Some highlights from the 2018 report:
Senator Mario Scavello did introduce a model bill that would raise the minimum legal age of tobacco purchase to 21 in PA.
Allegheny County Council passed a local ordinance that prohibits the use of e-cigarettes in the same places as smoking under the state law.
PA Tobacco Prevention and Control started several new initiatives, including working with the Department of Corrections and implementing HUD smoke-free rulings.
