WINTER SCHOOL: 20-22 January. As usual, we have an outstanding list of tutors (quite a few All-Ireland champions). Google them and you’ll hear some great music.

All will be performing at our concert in the Couper Institute, as will harp player Michael Rooney, along with his wife, June McCormack (together they form “Draoicht”).
Classes will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 11-1 and 2-4pm in the Clavius Building (both days) , St. Aloysius. Cost £5 per class. They are open to all levels except beginners.
The 60th Anniversary dinner will take place on Saturday at 7.30pm in the Kerrydale Suite, Celtic Park. It will be followed by Macalla 1916, performed by our own wonderful folk orchestra and conducted by the composer, Michael Rooney. The rest of the night (till 2am) will consist of a mega session.  Tickets are now sold out but Moira has a waiting list if anyone wants to add their name.

CELTIC CONNECTIONS CONCERT :  our concert on the 4th Feb in the concert hall new auditorium is now sold out. We must be pretty popular!

CHRISTMAS CEILIWed 28th December in the Couper Institute, 7.30-11pm. We’re looking for everyone’s support. We also need good musicians! Frank will give out a list of tunes next week which will be played at the ceili.

OLD PHOTOGRAPHS WANTED: We will have a display of photos at the dinner. If anyone has any, see Frank, or scan and email to    Does anyone have access to a laminator, which can do A3 size?

SLIDE-SHOW:  we plan to have a slide show during the dinner. We will also have slides during the Macalla performance. We need a volunteer with skills in this area.

CEILI HOUSE:  Saturday’s edition featured St. Roch’s Ceili Band from the Senior Band competition in Ennis. Roisin Anne’s interview starts 18 minutes in.
