October Sermon Series
"Ghost Stories"

I remember when I was little, I used to hate going to bed.  I hated going to bed, because I was afraid of the dark.  My two older brothers knew that I was afraid of the dark, and used to terrorize me at night by making sounds or by telling ghost stories that were sure to keep me up all night hearing sounds or seeing things even after they had gone to bed.

During the month of October, we will be doing a sermon series called: Ghost Stories.

Halloween is one of the most popular holidays in the United States; it is hard to escape its influence on our culture.  Rather than avoid Halloween, during this season we remember that Christ is the light in the darkness, and God tells us: do not be afraid.

Sermon Series: Ghost Stories

10/6 – Ephesians 4:25-32
The Jersey Devil

10/13 - John 1:4-5
Things that Go Bump in the Night

10/20 - Mark 6:45-52

Anita Chichester celebrated her birthday over the first weekend of October.  Part of that celebration was a surprise visit from 7 members of her immediate family.  They all attended worship on Sunday, October 6, and Anita loved that she had the opportunity to sing with her granddaughter in the choir.  Furthermore, her family hosted Fellowship Time after the service, sharing a birthday cake with Anita's church family.  Anita would like to thank her church family for all their expressions of love and the many hugs she received.  It all made for a very special weekend for Anita and she extends her love to everyone in return.
