What's next for the Timebank?
'Up-skilling' with the Timebank - Take an hour a month to improve your skills or learn new skills and receive a credit for every hour you attend.
When? Each session will be held from 9:30-10:30 before our monthly coffee morning at the West Wight Sports and Community Centre. The first one will be held on Thursday 25th February from 9:30-10:30 and the topic will be Mindfulness.
'Mindfulness is a special way of paying attention that can help you to cope with everyday life or deal with tough times. There are great benefits for your physical and mental help.'
In this tester session we will:
- Discuss how Mindfulness can help you
- Focus on our breathing
- Calm our minds
- Be kind to ourselves
This is being offered by a Timebank member and is not an accredited training course. No special equipment is needed and we will perform all activities sitting on a chair. If you prefer to sit on the floor or lay on the floor, then please bring cushions or mats.
