News

Sally is delighted to say that Inez and Roger will be helping her with some sessional work after Christmas and we will look forward to hearing from them how it is going.

Also, we are pleased to welcome 'Men in Sheds' to the Timebank. Men in Sheds is a local group funded by the Big Lottery and they have recently joined the TimeBank as an organisational member. They are offering any member the opportunity to spend time credits by having help to clear out a garden shed. This project is one run by Age UK. Please let Sally know if you are interested.

A reminder that the Christmas Meal is on Monday 12th December at 6.30pm at the Kings Head, Yarmouth. You will be  able to pay on the night and below is a reminder of the menu. Please let Sally know as soon as you can if you would like to come.

Regular Timebank Events

As we have the Christmas Dinner to look forward to in December, there won't be a regular Timebank lunch on Thursday 15th December at Warren Farm, Alum Bay. Instead the next Timebank Lunch will be in January and the details will be in the next newsletter.

The next
coffee morning will be this Thursday 24th November between 10:30-12pm at the West Wight Sports and Community Centre. Please do come along for a coffee and a chat. The following coffee morning will be Thursday 22nd December.

There is no CHOYD coffee morning in December but we look forward to seeing you there on Tuesday 10th January 2017 from 10:30am to 2:30pm.

Our next filmnight will take place on Wednesday 14th December  from 7pm-9pm and we will be showing 'A Wonderful Life'.  If you would like to spend 2 hours of your time, please call Sally to book your place.  If you need a lift, this can easily be arranged.

Other News

SWISH portal training at WWSCC
The IWC is offering training for the SWISH portal which is the self help IT system that you would currently use if you went to County Hall. If you are keen to be trained, please let Sally know. The training is likely to be towards the end of November or in December.

If anyone would like to spend 2 time credits for a jar of homemade jam, please let Sally know.

Has anyone got a 6m white cotton curtain lining that they would like to donate to the Timebank?

We are making a tablecloth to be used for events and would love it if you would like to contribute to the design that Jane has done for us.
Draw around your hand on a piece of colourful fabric of your choice.
Cut it out and give it to Sally to include in the tablecloth

We also have a request for a member who has and can use a sewing machine to help us make the tablecloth.
Please let sally know if you can offer this.

Please note Sally no longer uses the old Timebank phone number so please make a note of the new one - 07872304294.
