Sad News About a Colleague and Friend
Historically we have communicated to our ComsenseOnline hosted accounts by email using the primary contact information we have on file for each account. Experience has shown that our messages don't always get relayed to other team members at these accounts.  In order to expand our reach to include any contacts who wish to be reached regarding ComsenseOnline notifications, we have added new subscription group to our email list. This new subscription group is called ComsenseOnline Notices. We will use this new group within our email list to send future notices.

We have added the primary contact for each of our ComsenseOnline hosted accounts already. We invite anyone else who is interested in receiveing these notices to add the ComsenseOnline Notices group to their email list profile. Please see the article How to Update Your Newsletter Profile for instructions and select the ComsenseOnline Notices group.

After a 25 year run, the original flagship application from Comsense, AHM – The Architectural Hardware Manager, will reach its end of life on December 31, 2016.

We have reached a point in time where the resources spent on maintaining the AHM application and price books is much better spent enhancing Enterprise. We recognize that some customers continue to utilize their AHM systems as a reference to old work and you can certainly continue to do that if you choose, recognizing that Comsense will no longer provide any support for AHM after the end of this calendar year should something go wrong. Also note that Microsoft no longer supports any version of the Windows operating system that is capable of running AHM.

Noted below are some important dates and points to consider related to your AHM system.

Effective January 1, 2017 AHM will no longer be supported by Comsense for accounts who are not engaged in an upgrade implementation to Comsense Enterprise. Accounts using AHM who have elected not to upgrade to Comsense Enterprise will not be billed for annual support or price books for 2017 or later and will no longer have access to any price book updates published after December 31, 2016. As I’m sure you will understand, Comsense assumes no responsibility for the use of AHM after the end of this calendar year.

Effective January 1, 2017 we will no longer publish updates to Door, Frame, or Accessory price books for AHM.

Effective January 1, 2018 we will no longer publish updates to Hardware price books for AHM.

Accounts who have signed an agreement to upgrade to Comsense Enterprise will continue to receive support for AHM during the Enterprise implementation process up to December 31, 2017 and will continue to have access to Hardware price books for AHM published by Comsense in 2017.

Video: Restricting Journal Posting to a Closed Period
There are often scenarios where a transaction is required to flow in the opposite direction than it normally would. Examples include a customer refund payment or receipt of a refund check from a supplier.  View our tutorial videos Using a Contra AR-AP Account to Process a Payment from a Supplier and Using a Contra AR-AP Account to Process a Payment to a Customer for guidance on how to configure these accounts and use the process.

Be sure to have a look at our other videos as well in the Video Tutorials and Video Overviews sections of the Help Center. We're adding new videos regularly, so click Follow on these video sections to be notified when we add content.
