Daisy and the other bovines are enjoying the new arrival, Violet. If you haven't made it out to visit her, she's growing into her long legs and still is as cute as a button.  

This is feed ordering week. As the weather is cold now, your fowl may enjoy some scratch for treats and to keep warm. Any birds that are molting now may be eating some extra feed for energy and nutrients to regrow feathers. 

If you'd love to purchase some non GMO and soy free feed for your livestock you may order in the following ways: text or email by this Wednesday at midnight. 314-578-1351 or Your first order must be prepaid, all subsequent orders may be paid at pick up.

Feed pick up will be the following week, January 9th. Delivery usually happens on Wednesday afternoon. Those that order will get a notification that the feed has been delivered. Remember, if you pick up your feed within 24 hours of delivery at the Ranch, you will receive a dollar off per bag! Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.

Silkie Hens (and Roosters)
Silkies that hatched early summer have started laying and I know who are girls now! Buff, partridge, and black available. Nice broody mommas and cute as can be. 

Farm Fresh Eggs
for eating or hatching: a few chicken eggs and goose eggs! Ducks are just beginning to lay. -- various sizes and colors available. 

Cow Manure Compost
for your gardens! By the feed sack full or pickup truck full.

Cow's Milk Soap
is gentle, cleansing, and nourishing for skin. Tea tree (essential oil) or baby's breath (fragrance oil).

Try a favorite family recipe 
Pasta E Fagioli Soup
  • 1-2 pounds ground beef or venison
  • whole onion, chopped (about 1.5 cups)
  • salt and pepper to taste
Add and saute
  • 2 medium chopped carrots
  • 3 stalks chopped celery
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Mix in and simmer 20 minutes or until pasta is tender, adding water as necessary.
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 3 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 3/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp marjoram
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup dry pasta
  • 15 ounces/1 can dark red kidney beans
  • 15 ounces/1 can great northern beans
Serve with shredded Romano or Parmesan cheese.
