DAME HANNAHS NEWS
MARCH 2022
Welcome
Our young adults have been making the most of the glorious Spring weather over the last few weeks with a variety of outings around Devon. They have also been really enjoying and benefitting from being back in the pool for their hydrotherapy sessions. We are also really grateful and excited to see our supporters taking up new challenges to raise money for Dame Hannahs.
Out and About
The group from Gilleys bungalow have been enjoying outings in the Spring sunshine. They had a lovely time at Exmouth Beach and Stover Country Park recently as well as cafe time in Ivybridge and a walk on Dartmoor.
Pool Time
Our young adults have been really enjoying and benefitting from being back in the pool. Their hydrotherapy sessions are extremely beneficial to their wellbeing. They all love the feeling of freedom in the water.

On your Marks!
Local supporter Dan Westlake is running his first ever marathon in aid of Dame Hannahs. Dan will be taking part in the Plym Valley Marathon on 7th May. Dan was first introduced to the charity by his father Richard who was a volunteer. Having discovered what an incredible charity it is he felt inspired to do some fundraising. Garden Fun
The Marchesi group have been enjoying fun and games in our grounds at Ivybridge. They are lucky to have lots of space outside to enjoy in the sunshine.
Ahoy there!
Simon Richardson, our Site Maintenance Manager, is set to sail in the Eddystone Charity Sailing Pursuit to raise money for much needed equipment for our young adults. The 26-mile offshore pursuit will take place on June 18th and the main aim of the event is to fundraise for charities that ‘benefit the human condition’. Having joined Dame Hannahs six months ago, Simon is relatively new to sailing but has decided to take on the challenge to fundraise for Dame Hannahs. To sponsor Simon him click on the link.
