In 1900 Esli and Sophia Whitney bought the first 38 acres of what is now the fifth generation Whitney farm. August 17th is the day the deed was signed. This year, for the first time, we decided we should celebrate!

Join us on Wednesday August 17th  from 6-10 pm
5525 Jennings Rd, Ann Arbor Michigan

For a celebration in our Timber Framed Sugar House

We will have a homegrown meal featuring our own lamb and pork burgers, sauteed vegetables and salad, and maple snow cones
Suggested meal donation of $15 per adult, $5 for kids

We hope to see you there!

Farm Tidbits
We are back at the Ann Arbor and Cobblestone Farmers Markets with our homegrown heritage breed Red Wattle pork (bacon, breakfast links, fresh ground, bratwurst, sweet Italian sausage, spicy Italian sausage, ribs)

Our first Whitney Farm t-shirts will available at the celebration on August 17th! Check our website soon (but not yet) for more information on how to get one.
We hope to share more farm stories through another newsletter soon. Meanwhile we are working on getting hay in the barn, pasturing our herd, continuing work on the sugar house, milking our cows, awaiting calves to be born, attending farmers markets, and doing our best to keep up with summer as it swings and sways along.
