State Honor Choirs

State 9-10 Honor Choirs:  Thursday, February 22

ACDA-MN regrets to inform our membership that Dr. Jonathan Talberg, guest conductor for the State 9-10 SATB Honor Choir, will not be able to assume that position due to a sudden and ongoing family medical emergency.  However, we are pleased to announce that former ACDA-MN member Mark Potvin, currently at Luther College, has accepted the challenge of filling that position on late notice.  Go Mark!
  • Rehearsal Location:  Plymouth Congregational Church, Minneapolis
  • Performance Location:  Main Auditorium, Mpls Convention Center
  • Directors please distribute concert tickets @ two tickets per student
  • Additional concert tickets available at Brown Paper Tickets and at the door
  • ACDA-MN members and MMEA Clinic attendees may attend the Honor Choir concert at no charge, using either the clinic badge or ACDA membership card.
State 4-5-6 Honor Choirs:  Saturday, May 5
  • Rehearsal and Performance Location:  St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Mahtomedi
  • Auditions Due:  Friday, February 23
  • ACDA-MN would like to expand the boys' honor choir to 120-125 students this year, but we are in need of MANY MORE boys' auditions to meet this goal. Eventually we would like to place 150 boys in the choir to match the number of girls that are currently singing. Directors please reach out and encourage your talented pool of boys for this lifetime experience.
