A talented team of visionary’s from across the country will join Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Innovation Crossroads’ new Leadership Council this month.
Comprised of investors, business executives and entrepreneurs, the Leadership Council will hold its first meeting on February 27. Members will serve as a review panel for Cohort 3 finalists on February 28. The six innovators selected for Cohort 3 are slated to onboard in May 2019.
Innovation Crossroads is not new to this esteemed team. Council members connected with the program while working with Cohorts 1 and 2, and have agreed to serve in a more formal role to provide guidance on the challenges of technology innovation and overall program direction.
“We’re really grateful that this outstanding group of individuals has agreed to help ORNL’s Innovation Crossroads program by participating on our Leadership Council,” said Tom Rogers, ORNL’s Director of Industrial and Economic Development Partnerships. “I’m confident that our innovators will benefit a great deal by interacting with this group, and that our program will have even more impact in the future due to their guidance and assistance.”
In addition to selecting high-impact candidates who will make the best use of the program, Council members will provide connections to people and organizations that can help Innovation Crossroads participants’ entrepreneurial ideas flourish during their time in the program and beyond. The Council will guide innovators on all aspects of starting and growing energy and advanced manufacturing companies
