Hello!

I have been woefully negligent about sending out newsletters this summer, and for that I apologize. I have some REALLY good excuses though:
1) Theodore Roosevelt National Park
2) Yellowstone National Park
3) Grand Teton National Park

Can you find it in your heart to forgive me? ;)

This is the overview of "Heading West" plan. Our goal is to get across the Rocky Mountain passes before Labor Day.
After leaving Michigan, we quickly crossed Wisconsin & Minnesota and most of North Dakota. We camped in the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which is a lesser known park but still incredibly beautiful and full of wildlife! Bison, mule deer, and prairie dogs were plentiful!
Then we visited Yellowstone National Park, which is so big we actually had to visit it twice - once from the East Entrance & then the West Entrance a couple weeks later! We were amazed by the geological formations cause by the volcanic caldera that Yellowstone sits upon. And we saw a Grizzly Bear!
In between Yellowstone visits we went to the Grand Tetons. We camped for free on the edge of the Tetons with a million-dollar view! These mountains were spectacular!
After spending time at the Tetons and Yellowstone, we decided to make a video with some tips we'd learned about visiting these (VERY) popular National Parks:
Other adventures include: flying over the Tetons, rafting down the Snake River, and a day trip out to Craters of the Moon National Monument.
Now we are at the foot of Glacier National Park, excited for more exploring!

Be sure to check out the new posts and videos we are sending your way!
Thanks for reading, and happy trails!
