Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone!

Hope you are all taking this time to enjoy your friends and family, as well as remembering the people who died while serving in our country's armed forces. We give thanks to them and all our veterans!

Did you see our Close Encounter with Bears video? As promised in the last newsletter, here it is:

Close Encounter with Black Bear Mama and Cub!
It was a pretty awesome experience. We were in Cade's Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains when this happened.
Since then we went to Nashville for a quick two days. We saw the city and honky-tonk Broadway Street as well as a high school friend of Cait's perform live at one of the venues! You can check out her stuff at
Then we went to Kentucky where we stayed on a dairy farm. We learned how cheese is made and helped rescue an abandoned miniature horse whose feet were seriously overgrown!
While in Kentucky we also visited Mammoth Cave National Park! This cave system is the longest in the world with over 400 miles of passageways. The pictures do not do it justice and we only saw the 6th largest cavern called the Rotunda.
Next we headed north to Dayton, Ohio to visit some more friends before continuing on to Howe, Indiana where the RV manufacturing plant for our brand of RV (DRV) is located. We overnighted in their parking lot and took a tour yesterday morning of the facility. Our older rig stood out a little bit against it's much newer brethren...but we still loved ours the best! LOL
Today we are heading to Michigan! Back to our home-state for a while, and we are excited to see lots of friends and family!
