Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays!

We are writing to you from Santa Paula, California near Ventura (west of L.A.). Since our last newsletter we have traveled from the San Francisco area, down thru the middle of California. We've done a couple of exciting things of note, including touring wine country, Big Sur, and Pinnacles National Park!

Whenever anyone thinks of California wine, they probably think Napa. Truth is, wine is EVERYWHERE in California! The vineyards were beautiful with fall colors! While we did visit Napa, we had the most fun in Sonoma County, particularly at Korbel Champagne Cellars where we got a complimentary tour and tasting of their many champagnes (most we'd never seen before) and wines - did you know Korbel made wine?

We stayed at Park Delta Bay in Isleton where we did a video review in exchange for a stay. Click here to see it!
Then we headed to a campground out in the tiny town of Paicines which is about 90 minutes inland from Monterrey. From here, we took a day trip (without the fifthwheel) and drove Highway 1 along Big Sur. Simply Amazing!
Our middle-of-nowhere campground happened to be just 30 minutes from a litle-known National Park called Pinnacles. It lies near the San Andreas fault and has been shaped by seismic activity. Pictures do not do it justice whatsoever - we almost didn't go because it didn't look that impressive online! But if you ever get the chance, GO. Lots of fun, scenic hikes through tunnels and amazing rock formations!
While in Paicines, Mocha got sick and we ended up taking her to the vet. Morning vomiting and blood in her stool had us worried she had something that would get worse. Fortunately, everything came back negative and normal, and a week on antibiotics and anti-nausea meds seemed to get her mostly back on track. Poor Mocha! <3 <3
We've started a new video series called "Mondays with the Mortons" where each week we upload a video of us talking about where we are, what we are up to, and a new weekly topic ranging from RVing to travel to jelly beans - see episode 1 for our Bean-Boozled Challenge! ;)

We also take the opportunity to answer some of YOUR questions about our lifestyle and travels. Feel free to send us questions via email to mortonsonthemove@gmail.com or hit us up on Facebook!
We have 3 episodes so far:
1) Intro, Tiny Houses, and Jelly Belly's Bean-Boozled Challenge
2) Working and Retirement - Full-Time RVing
3) RVing with Pets
I've got a lot more I could tell you, but I think I'll wrap it up here and send more in a week or so.
Here are the new vlogs:
And 6 new blogs: (I also revamped the Travel Archive page)
Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you all are happily relaxing with friends and family this holiday season.

Even though we are nowhere near snow, we are still dreaming of a White Christmas...a White Sandy BEACH Christmas! Just like we did last year, just on the Pacific Ocean this time :)
Thanks for reading, and happy trails!
