While this newsletter begins with a couple of non-COP26 items (workshops and a wild swim), it does mostly relate to upcoming events in Glasgow. We hope you're inspired by any COP26 events you attend, either in person or online, and we look forward to following the action as it happens.

Climate Friendly Culture workshops

Join Caro Overy for a two-hour workshop to help test ideas and prototypes for a digital tool to support sustainable culture. There will be six workshops in all - choose the one for the art form you most frequently work in.

This weekend, the artists behind Cùram Cuain (Embrace the Sea)Saoirse Higgins and Jonathan Ford, are organising a group sea swim. During the event on 23rd October, participants will become a “pod” of swimmers, highlighting the benefits of the ocean and the value of our protected species and habitats. Meet at Bayble Beach at 2.30pm for a 3pm start. 

The event is part of the MarPAMM – Seas of the Outer Hebrides project.

Reflections: All about COP26

Our inaugural combined Green Tease and Green Arts Initiative meetup took place on 23rd September during Climate Fringe Week. 'All about COP26' attendees heard from a variety of speakers and participated in some lively breakout discussions. Read the event reflections.

A History of Arts and Culture at COPs

Last year, our culture/SHIFT officer, Lewis Coenen-Rowe, researched the history of arts and culture of previous COPs and wrote this excellent resource.
