 President's Message

Happy New Year, Fabulous Business Women!

I love the fresh start that each January brings. I like to reflect on the past year and set an intention for the year to come. This year my theme is Trust (and let go). This theme shows up in all of my roles in life- business owner, mother, friend, citizen.

To me, it means showing up as my authentic self and giving my all to every situtation, then (the hard part)... letting go of the outcome.  Trusting that seeds planted with love will sprout when they are ready.

For four years, I have been showing up to WBC events and doing just that. Seeking authentic connections with passionate, driven business women - not just the next "sale". The outcome has been many meaningful relationships that have led to substantial business growth.

I am grateful for the opportunity to lead this wonderful organization- though Debi leaves big shoes to fill! We have a fantastic slate of new & exciting programs lined up for 2018, including a celebrity speaker!  (click here for complete calendar).  I look forward to growing my connection with each of you as the year unfolds.

See you at lunch,

Danielle Yoch

Tell us about your business: Bringing family and friends together around the table has always and will always be a magical thing.  Our high quality cooking tools make your time in the kitchen quicker, easier and often more fun!  I started in 1998 when my kids were both under 5 to earn a little extra money and get the chance to leave them at home with dad once or twice a week.  I LOVE doing my cooking workshops and seek to inspire other busy people with a great new recipe or two, share some cooking tips and have fun with friends.   Plus, I am privileged to lead a growing downline organization of over 300.  We doubled in size in 2017!

Who is a good referral for you? A good referral for me is anyone who eats and at least once in a while prepares food at home.  Millenials are discovering a love for home cooking and I would love to share my tips and tricks with them! Anyone looking for a great side gig.  We do both live and virtual parties.

What inspired you to join the WBC? I joined in 2004 after being invited to come to a luncheon.  I loved meeting around other dynamic women not in my own field.  Everyone was warm and welcoming with no pressure.  Everyone understands that you do business with those you know, like and trust.  And that means showing up and letting time work it’s magic.  I have learned something at every single meeting and business card exchange.

Have you done business with any WBC members?  Absolutely, both shows and sales for me and me doing business with others.  You never know when you’re going to need the services of someone you had lunch with last month.   I didn’t need basement waterproofing – until I did. When it came time to call a lawyer, financial advisor, or get some new jewelry, I knew, liked and trusted just the right people!

What do you like to do in your spare time? Play Women’s Ice Hockey for the Mighty Moose!  Read, play board games, bowl, golf, and travel!

Tell us about your family: I’ve been married to the same wonderful man, David Tripp, for 26 years.  We have two children, Natasha (24) and Connor (22).  Natasha lives in Saskatoon, Canada and hopes to be accepted into veterinarian school this year.  Connor lives with us yet and is slowly working his way through higher education and hopes to be accepted into Nursing this fall.  Both are amazing people I’m so proud to call my kids!  ALL the rest of our family reside in Canada (hence the reason why I’m always on my way or coming back from there!)   The rest of my family of origin story is kind of complicated but interesting.

REMINDER:  Members may now post their own special events onto the WBC online calendar! To post your event, click here (you'll have to log in as a member) and select “Add New Event”

  • You will be prompted to fill in the details
  • Once it’s submitted, our admin will review to make sure it doesn’t conflict with an already-scheduled WBC event
  • Be sure to share the calendar link to your circle of influence!
