UC Davis V&E Extension: Bringing the latest research and innovation to industry

Extension Focus:

Recap of our recent seminar and field day at UC Davis called "Current Developments in Vineyard Mechanization and Precision Viticulture".
Themes included labor issues and looming increases in California's minimum wage. Read more.
Recap of two Wine Flavor 101 series courses in May and June
The successful on-campus workshops were "Managing Oxygen for Wine Composition and Stability" and "Practical Color and Tannin Management Strategies". Read more.

The next UC Davis V&E Extension presentation is sold out. The Oakville Station Seminar Series #2 on August 12 will feature CE Specialist Kaan Kurtural, who will give a tour of newly planted vineyards and the updated facilities; Dr. Johann Martinez who will give a talk titled "Effects of Global Climate Change on Berry Flavonoid Chemistry"; and Dr. Gregory Gambetta from University of Bordeaux.  His talk is "How Grapevines Break Down and Put Themselves Together During and After a Drought".
