Connie and David Waller learned about the plight of Monarch butterflies from a TV documentary and immediately sprung into action. Once they established a butterfly habitat in their own yard, they set their sights on building community pollinator gardens all over Newton County. In honor of Ray C. Anderson, the annual Ray Day celebration is scheduled for Oct. 16, 2022, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM located in the stunning bucolic community of Serenbe. Immerse yourself in environmental conservation by wandering through exhibits focused on sustainability in the most picturesque of settings.

We are extremely proud to be invited by the Ray C. Anderson Foundation as one of 60 eco-exhibitors for the Ray Day celebration October 16th at Serenbe. We are also honored to be sharing a table with the Industrial Development Authority/Select Newton.

Join us and over 2,200 other friends for this very special event to honor the Ray's legacy and share inspiration and knowledge. We're also partnering with the Newton County Industrial Development Authority and their Executive Director, Serra Hall. Together, we will present the story of Newton County's emergence as a green tech hub in the Southeast.

Ray’s vision was to make the world better for Tomorrow’s Child, so bring your family and show your dedication to a better future for Ray Day 2022. Registration is NOW OPEN!

For Earth Day 2022, Sustainable Newton sat down virtually with their Vice President of Marketing & Government Relations, Roger Lin, to discuss his company's proprietary process for recycling lithium-ion batteries, their plans for Covington, and what it all means for the industry and the planet.

We are proud to announce that Ascend Elements has officially joined the Drawdown Georgia Business Compact! Commitments like these are integral for a sustainable future. They are also donating some amazing items for our giveaways at Ray Day 2022, like two VIP passes to their grand opening.
