Dear CRAG supporters
CRAG Ukrainian Welcome Hub webpage

We'll have more news to share at the beginning of next week about the ways in which CRAG hopes to be able to help with the government's Homes for Ukraine scheme.

In the meantime, we've set up a page for the CRAG Ukraine Welcome Hub which we're planning to use to post all the latest information as we get it. It has details of all the appeals we suggest you can donate to.

Hands On Help Ukraine appeal

We've heard about a wonderful couple in Krakow. Graeme (who's English) and his Polish wife Aga are providing short term care for Ukrainian people who are transiting through Poland and need somewhere to wash, rest, eat and sleep. They also help them get any essential items they could not pack, provide them with bigger cases, and give them money to get to their final destination.

They've just helped a single mum Elena and Max (2) get to Rotsok in Germany last week.

Through their donations page, they're able to:

  • help people transiting with food and shelter
  • provide essential personal hygiene items, toys, better bags for travelling etc...
  • give money to ensure people can buy food and essentials on the second leg of their journey
  • take food each week to 40 families staying in the local football stadium
  • provide food and a resting place for any amazing UK van drivers bringing aid to Poland

Graeme says: The local community here in Krakow is doing an amazing job of posting essential items  - yesterday we delivered a Yamaha keyboard to a severely autistic man who obviously had to leave this piano behind in Poland.

If you'd like to donate to the incredible work they're doing please go to https://gogetfunding.com/hands-on-help-ukraine/
