Dear CRAG supporters
Thanks so much to everyone who came along to our pop-up cafe on Sunday. We raised about £1,200 pounds which will be going to the charity Care 4 Calais

We're doing it all again this coming Saturday, so please do join us from 10.30 onwards in the Memorial Hall. We'll be serving coffee, tea and cakes all day, and a truly delicious veggie curry from 12.30 until we sell out. You can either eat in or have a take-away, and you can pay by cash or card.

We hope to see you there!

CRAG's Art Fair - how you can help

Preparations are under way for CRAG’s Art Fair, to be held at the Quaker Meeting House, Market Street on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 July, from 11am to 5pm.

There are many ways CRAG supporters can help make the event a success:

* Give a piece of art! You don’t have to be an artist, you might have something on your walls or table that you’re tired of, or need to make space for a new work …

* Bake a cake! No CRAG event is complete without our home-made cakes, which will be on sale together with tea and coffee throughout the two days …

* Come and help! We’ll be setting up on Thursday, 30 June, from 1.30 to 6.30, and we’ll need volunteers to help with that. On Friday and Saturday, 1 and 2 July, we’ll need volunteers to help sell the art and to serve cake and tea and coffee, and at the end of the sale, we’ll need help clearing everything up …

* Come and buy! We’ll have art for all tastes and all pockets on sale - paintings framed and unframed, prints, abstracts, portraits, landscapes, sculpture - by artists from all over, at prices ranging from a few pounds to many hundreds - and everything in between. You never know what you might find!

If you can help in any (or all) of these ways, contact Fran Webber (

In neighbourly fashion, we’re also putting out a request for volunteers to help serve refreshments at two Charlbury Festival events: Friday 10 June, 7pm at St Mary’s (you’ll get to see Merry Moments of Monarchy for free!); and Saturday 18 June at 3.30, also at St Mary’s (Iolanthe!). These aren’t CRAG events but we like to help! Two volunteers are needed for each event. If you can help please contact Fran Webber (as above) who will pass on your details to the organisers.

Special Summer Sunday Tea Concert

On Sunday 26th June we will be welcoming back our regular artist, harpsichordist Alastair Ross, who will be performing Geminiani cello sonatas with his son George Ross, a very talented and prominent baroque cellist.

Save the date for a lovely afternoon of baroque music by this very special father/son duo.

Tickets £12 (£6 for under 16s) are available from Cotswold Frames or bookable in advance by phoning 01608 811558 or emailing

Some tickets will be available at the door.
