Latest Ukraine updates and reminders 🇺🇦 💙 💛

Donate books to Ukrainian children
Millions of refugees and, among them, many, many children left their homes only with the minimum essentials. This campaign, supported by the Federation of European Publishersaims to print hundreds of thousands of children's books in Ukrainian to enable refugee children to keep the link with their homeland. The first 6,000 books will soon be printed and distributed. To support this campaign please go to the donation page

Aid items appeal for Ukrainian refugees 
If you'd like to donate items for a van delivery to a distribution hub in Romania, you can take items to 43 The Green Charlbury OX7 3QB by 14th April. Please see this news item on for more details and a list of the specific items required. 

Greeting cards for sale 

Charlbury artist, Maureen Sparling is selling all her greeting cards in aid of Ukraine during this desperate situation. The selection of cards will change throughout the summer as she paints new images. You can see the complete range on her website and a small selection will also be outside her door in Church Lane during fine weather.

Proceeds from the Fretwork concert
Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday's wonderful concert. Will will be sending half the proceeds of the ticket sales to the Refugee Community Kitchen and the other half to Choose Love. Thank you also to everyone who gave so generously to our contingency fund for Ukrainian guests who should be arriving in Charlbury soon.

We'll be welcoming back our regular artist, harpsichordist Alastair Ross, who will be performing Geminiani cello sonatas with his son George Ross, a very talented and prominent baroque cellist. Save the date for a lovely afternoon of baroque music by this very special father/son duo.
