Dear Friends of Gallery 113,

We are pleased to announce that we are still open amid the latest shut down due to Covid-19. We invite you to visit our gallery this month and see the latest works from Artist of the Month, Wendy Brewer, as well as new art from our December featured artists and group artists. Scroll down for more information.

Gallery hours (normally Monday - Saturday 11am-5pm and Sunday 1-5pm) are still somewhat irregular, so we continue to recommend that you call first to make sure we're open at (805) 965-6611. We're located at 1114 State Street in the beautiful La Arcada Court. Be assured that our volunteer hosts are following the required safety protocols. Please wear a mask and practice safe distancing when entering the gallery.

My mixed-media mosaics are expressions of my reverence for life. The creative process brings me home to myself, igniting inspiration, and connecting me deeply with my heart and soul. Every piece I create is a journey in itself, infused with love, heart, and meaning.

Although I’ve missed traveling - to collect new source material for landscape painting - during the pandemic, remaining close to home has prompted me to revisit and find inspiration from our beautiful local venues. The renewed sense of appreciation for them has been an unexpected gift, and with my art I hope to share that connection with the viewer.

Show Title: Holiday Abstracts

What you see here is my photographic abstract side. Slinky, Starburst, Mind Melt, Wishbone Stew are all representations of Santa Barbara's La Arcada Christmas tree. With a very slow shutter and a smidgen of post-processing, the tree became what you see here.
As to the other images, Stream of Consciousness came from a Highway 395 trip, Flying High is what happens when Morro Rock is fogged in, and Ripples occurs when one looks down into the Ventura harbor.
