Dear <<First Name>>,

Transition

For most people lock-down has slowed down things, pushed it radically into the opposite direction. By the time I realised where we were, we where halfway through August. I must confess, I’m starting to understand why the persecuted church, prospers. The hunger for God that we find between the people we minister to… well actually, I don’t know how to describe it. Let’s call it electric. The people are extremely hunger for the presence and touch of God. I’ve learned that people instinctively know where they need to reach out to when live presses them into a corner. We are slowly but surely returning to stable rhythms and utilising the expanded territory God opened up for us during the last five months. We are extremely grateful for God’s continued provision and everyone that keeps on sowing into the ministry, so that we can reach people with His love. Let me take you through some of the highlights of the last two months.

CURRENT

AT A GLANCE

Since 1 May, we as a ministry has given food to 8485 people, of which we remembered to capture. This excludes the single food items and already prepared bread or soup. I tear up, when I see numbers like this, because I know that we shouldn’t have been able to feed 200 people, but God did what we thought was impossible.

UPCOMING OUTREACHES

  • Trans Oranje - 6 Sep 2020: We are excited to have an open door at the Lock-down camp for homeless. We have been ministering there for the last few weeks and have been building some powerful relationships with not only the beneficiaries but also the organisers. We want to take some time and spend with them on the soccer field, in worship and bless them with hampers. There are 209 people living in the camp, which only 1 x is a lady. So men… we need your sporting skills and loving hearts for our friends. Contact me directly if you need more information on how to get involved.

  • Silverton – 19 Sep 2020
We have seen how the food that we take to these families carry them for weeks. The hampers we hand out, carries a family of four easily for 3 weeks and a family of 6 for about 2 weeks. I can supply you with the list of products we add to the hampers.

FEEDBACK AND GLORY STORIES

Silverton

We returned to Silverton on the 18th of July. It was like walking into a completely different group of people. They were open and welcoming. Very different from the first time we were there. We had the opportunity to share beautiful moments with them and see God just be who He says He is. Nothing of our opinions, just His love!

This is just one of many stories for the day:
During our Words of Knowledge in the morning, I had the vision of a guy walking with a limp, whilst holding a cane / crutch of some sorts. After we handed out all the food parcels for the day, I saw a guy walking down the street with his groceries in one hand and a crutch in the other. I ran down the road and asked him his name and if he knows Jesus Christ. He said he does, and I told him what the Holy Spirit showed me in the morning. He informed me that he had a stroke in March and got discharged on 9 May. He had lost all strength in his right arm and leg. Greg and myself tested his strength and then started praying that he will regain all his strength in his arm. After a while we could feel a bit of strength coming back as he could squeeze Greg’s hand harder and harder. We then started praying for his right leg, as he couldn’t put any weight on it without the crutch. After we prayed, we took a leap of faith. I asked him if he could put weight on his leg without the crutch, he was hesitant, but we stood by him and he ended up putting all his weight on his right leg, without a crutch and his left leg in the air. We continued praying and you could see how his emotions changed; he got excited and started testing his newfound strength in his leg and arm. In the end we walked around with him, without the assistance of us or his crutch!!!
God is a true miracle worker!

Sonheuwel Caravan Park – 1 Aug 2020

The number one goal for the day, was to have family fun with the families of Sonheuwel. We were received with so much warmth and love. It was truly a privilege to spend time; playing games, worshipping and praying with one another. And off course… don’t forget the braai!!!! We enjoyed the braai. The kids had a blast with face paint and a jumping castle. To see how they were glued to some of our volunteers was something special to witness. On our Facebook page, we have some videos - have a look on the link.

The time spent at Sonheuwel Caravan Park impacted my heart and mind in a good way. I was completely blown away by the conversations I had with many of the women. They are some of the strongest and most resilient women I have ever met. Their stories inspired me and caused me to look at my story differently... They were willing to share with me and trust me and I was utterly touched by their bravery because most of them have no reason to trust anyone. Their love for Christ was so evident and I saw the light and life of Jesus shining through their eyes. I was encouraged through one of the conversations I had. It felt like I met the intercessor and evangelist from the caravan park. I'm extremely thankful that I could serve and engage with the people of Kingdom Culture because it was so beautiful to see them loving the people from Sonheuwel. It truly felt like family spending a Saturday together
I'm looking forward to spending more time with them and getting to know them better.
Vanessa

Joy Unspeakable

Whenever we get invited to visit our friends at Joy Unspeakable, we don’t see it as an outreach. It’s more like visiting family.

It was very clear from the start that the day would be special with all kinds of word that came out. We had an entire list of words of knowledge which we saw come into fulfilment. There was a word that there would be someone with a problem with their thumb and wrist. No one came out or indicted that they had a problem. As I was walking asking God who I should minister to first, I walked to a lady I felt God wanted to touch. When I asked her what I can pray for, it was she who needed healing and then she showed me exactly where that word of knowledge was indicating, her right thumb and wrist. We prayed and the pain disappeared, she also had pain in her chest, that disappeared while we were praying for her hand. She was very grateful; it was so awesome! After praying for her, Herman called me. I prayed for him the previous time, against chronic headaches, for strength and his eye that was hurt by an accident. We also prayed for his mother to recover from illness. He called me and he was much different than the first time I met Him. He immediately started testifying of what happened in the weeks following our visit and prayers and how the headaches stopped, and his mother was better, his life changed, and he recovered from alcoholism entirely. He was really shining. These were two of many great things that happened. We were blessed by the most amazing and real worship session, tangibly feeling the presence of God in the room, it was glorious.
Thank you!
Pieter

Others

Our ministry friends of Eternity4u in PTA West are doing a good job. We’ve had some lovely sponsors coming in for them. Thank you to K.O.S Online and Professional Hunters Association for the food donations. We reach far more people than what you realise and therefor the ministry opportunities are priceless.

We also had the opportunity to take hands with Prayer SA on the 22nd of Aug 2020. We targeted a few public spaces and worshipped God. Two of our teams participated. One at Church Square and one at the Union buildings. There is breakthrough for our nation in worship! Link

Lockdown: COVID camp for homeless
A very exciting opportunity opened for us at the Trans Oranje lockdown camp. We have been ministering there every Monday morning 10:30 for the last few weeks. We are excited to be discipling and seeing the hunger for God grow as we return each week. We are trusting God for breakthroughs in terms of the farm and other resources to upskill our homeless friends to reintegrate them into society.

Church in the Park
Monday afternoons, we are ministering in a park in the East of Pretoria. Seleste has been going right through the lockdown period, however only recently we have seen a real hunger stand up within them. It’s amazing when the people ask for consistency. Then we know they come not only for food, but to really meet with Jesus.

Prayer points

  1. We are praying for a 100 000 people to find Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour! This is the reason why we feel compelled to keep going. His love draws us to His people!
  2. Always keep my teams in your prayers. To see them laying down their lives for the love of Jesus, is astounding!
  3. Protection from witchcraft that is launched against myself, my team members, & their loved ones.
  4. I’m on the lookout for a farm, where we can up-skill and train our friends. We are trusting God for the provision and the land.
  5. A pickup truck or bakkie to help us do the work that needs to be done.
  6. Financial provision on a personal and ministry level for everything that we are doing.
  7. Hands and feet to help connect the homeless to employment and skills development opportunities.
  8. I’ve been running the ministry from my garden flat, but there are many constraints in doing this. I need a little more space.
  9. We are praying for more hands to help and specifically for Godly men to take their rightful stand and accept their responsibility.

Our Thanks

We are ever so thankful for all your prayers, encouragement, and love that you shower on us. My prayer is that you and your family will have deep experimental knowledge of the goodness and kindness of God!

Many blessings,
