Hey Starter Fam,

Our little plant-based soft-serve business is ramping and so very close to being public. Flavors getting locked. Brand created. Trademark getting filed. Business model. Supply chain. Building an ice cream cart. Purchasing a production machine. Researching generators for a mobile operation. Talking to pop-up retail partners. There is much more to share with you, though I'm feeling like I'm just keeping my head above water as we head to the finish line. Our goal: launch in July. Peak summertime. It just so happens our business baby is birthing the same month my co-founder Marika is birthing a human. Did I mention she’s a supa woman? Yes, that she is.

This issue, well it’s a bit smaller this month as I am deep in launch mode. No book club this month because real talk: no time for reading books. I am reading thrilling material like food handler courses and soft-serve machine manuals. ;) Alli has been traveling around the world meeting good food founders and scoping the best products around, so look out for her latest in this month's Starter Pack. Stay tuned for next month - a big launch ahead (ok maybe small launch, but big deal to us ;).

Sending the good vibes your way wherever you are.

In Good Food We Trust,
-Emily LaFave Olson aka ELO

The Starter Pack
1. 88 Acres - Nut & Seed Butters: Why were we always spitting out those watermelon seeds? Turning them into seed butter is mo betta. These packs to take on the go include our new favorite, plus sunflower and pumpkin seed butters.
2. Superfrau - Eat Whey Love: Pumped on this idea. A Boston-based duo on a mission to eliminate food waste, takes excess whey from local dairies and turns it into a delicious, good-for-your-gut beverage. It's whey cool. ;)
3. Jammy Yummy - Tomato Jam: This Miami-based food startup is on a mission to spread "savory vegetable jams" around the country. After your first bite of the tomato jam, you'll be onboard and spreading the word.
4. Love the Wild - Barramundi with Mango Sriracha: Convenience meets conscious eating. Your Barramundi (ready in 20 min) also just happens to contribute to environmental health by sequestering nutrients and cleaning up the water. Yes to this.
5. Raaka - Assorted Chocolate Bars: Transparent sourcing plus unroasted chocolate that gives us a bold, bright, and fruitier flavor. We’re all for the sampler box, because chocolate (and the new, fresh packaging).
