Fundraising Update

Currently we literally just 25 days away from Logan and Carla coming to the country, getting a temporary place to stay until they figure out a long term arrangement with an apartment, prayer is very much appreciated!

Last month we were 900$ in monthly pledged giving from our fundraising goal before getting them here to the country, currently we're right about 600$ short of reaching that goal!
A big thank you to our 21 churches and 58 individuals/families who are generously giving towards this gospel mission, thank you for your love, generosity and prayers!

I have not been great at taking pictures this month, so I'll have to resort to bullet points yet again to fill you in on what's been going on for the month of February, which has been a fairly regular month.
  • Wrapping up Daniel
As a church we're wrapping up going through Daniel, we have two weeks left on fulfilled prophecy and eschatology before moving into Matthew.
  • Giving
Attendance is growing, regularly we have locals and foreigners visit us for services, but the giving of our people has been off the charts getting us to a place where we can move from a yearly support to our church planting partners to a monthly support.
  • Professions of Faith
During the month it seems that two people have confessed faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ, which was incredibly encouraging to hear as we continue on with the ministry.
  • Brokeness
This month has also involved quite a few tough scenarios with people suffering from physical and mental issues that has taken it's toll, but the church has done a great job at trying to meet those needs.
  • Doubt Night
As we continue on with Doubt Nights the last Friday of every month the idea is expanding into a mission weekend every month, and even about to expand to a mission week once a month dedicated to reach non-believers.
We had around 25 people show up to our Doubt Night hosted at Café IÐA in downtown Reykjavík, dedicated to talking about hell and a lot of questions from people on the subject, it seemed to go over really well, and relationships are being formed.
Following the monthly Doubt Night we will use the following Sunday service to be directed at equipping people to reach non-believers or inviting them to service, and now the University group, Ex Deus, will follow that with their weekly Tuesday Night Bible Study focused on engaging with non-believers on campus, in the future I hope we can do something special as a church on those Saturdays to engage non-believers as well, prayers for wisdom on how to do that appreciated.
  • Wedding
I also got the privilege to officiate the wedding of Cassidy and Christoffer Crowley, who came to Iceland to get married.
  • Other things
There are also a few other things going on that I can't fill you in on right now, but you can be praying for wisdom and for God to be glorified in whatever happens in the coming weeks and months.
Here's at least one picture from what happened, congratulations Cassidy and Christoffer Crowley!

Redeemer City Church of Reykjavík
Logan & Carla

Wellspring Community Church
We had an amazing time visiting some ministry partners in St. Joseph, Missouri, and also sharing with Wellspring Community Church about the need for gospel work in Iceland.
Discipleship NOW Weekend
Logan has the opportunity to be the speaker at a Discipleship Now weekend at North Trenholm Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina. The theme was AUTHENTIC, asking the questions “What does it mean to be an authentic Christian?”
Logan also was able to preach at North Trenholm Baptist Church on the following Sunday, after the DNow weekend, on the Parable of the Good Samaritan.
Meeting with Josh and Victoria
We loved being able to spend time with Josh and Victoria Vance plus their kiddos! Josh is the former Student Pastor at First Ridgeland where Logan served as the Young Adult Pastor, and both Josh and Victoria have been to Iceland as a part of a mission team in 2017.
Grace Hill Church
Logan was able to share a little bit of his testimony and the call to Iceland with Grace Hill Church in Herndon, Virginia. Grace Hill Church is one of our amazing partner churches and Nick Jones, one of the pastors, came to Iceland on the Spring 2018 Vision Tour.
Lastly Logan also went on to the Church Planting Podcast hosted by Clint Clifton to talk about preparing for international church planting which you can listen to on your podcast platform or click this link and find it under the title "preparing to plant overseas with Logan Douglas", it's an awesome way to get to know him better and how he came to desire to plant in Iceland.
