Because the World Needs Caroline Furnace Tomorrow
Thank you for your continued support of your outdoor ministry! So far, we have raised over $32,000, with individual and organization gifts ranging from $20 to $15,000. To reach 2022, we must raise $200,000 by March 2021 in order to maintain continuity over the next 12 to 18 months.
Caroline Furnace is YOUR outdoor ministry. As friends, neighbors, and partners, this is your story, and it is up to you to continue it. Help us reach next summer and keep the legacy and tradition of Caroline Furnace alive for generations to come.
Note: Follow along as this tree fills with leaves! Each leaf represents one gift and the leaves get darker for larger gifts. The cardinals represent gifts of greater than $5,000. The average gift is $100.

We are hosting a Read-a-Thon for all ages from October 5 to 25. To participate, simply find sponsors, read books, and keep track of your reading hours. Get your books together and let's help save Caroline Furnace! The reading heroes with the most hours will earn a special prize.

Get recommendations from camp’s resident librarian! Erica works at the Shenandoah County Library, served on staff at Caroline Furnace for a few summers, and now lives at camp with Bryan, Dir. Facilities & Maintenance, and their three crazy camp kids. This book list is themed with Appalachian region and camp-related books. Stay tuned for a superhero book list, coming soon!
Join Caroline Furnace and other Lutheran Outdoor Ministries across the nation in a Run4Camp 5K on November 1st (All Saints Day)! Please reply to this email if you'd still like to sign up (registration deadline was October 4, but it isn't too late!).
On 5K day, you can run, walk, jog, hike, ski, wheelchair and/or rollerboard your 5K course. Choose your own remote course, or come to Caroline Furnace to trail-run your 5K on site!
Either way, join the celebratory virtual "finish line" party from 2 to 5pm EST, hosted by the LOM Network.
