Onward to Flight Training & Lessons in Holding Fast...

May 2016

He held fast...

...but He was barely holding on. He'd already sent them money, treasure, everything He had to offer; there was nothing more He could do to stop the storm that was coming.
They were right outside now, threatening, trying to turn everyone against Him, planting seeds of doubt in already shaken souls, challenging, taunting:

"NO ONE has come out of this unscathed, who do you think YOUR God is that He could protect you against US??"

They were coaxing with offers of peace and freedom in exchange for giving up and joining them .

So far, no one had gone over to them. They were still with Him, but there were long would the people hold out?

Exhausted, overwhelmed, He stumbles into the sanctuary. This is a very bad day.

"Send for Isaiah. Maybe God hears what they're saying, maybe He'll step in because of what they've said against Him....Ask Isaiah to pray for what's left of us."

Shoulders trembling, He sits now, listening to the silence, awaiting an answer.

A shaft of light spills across the floor as the once-magnificent doors, now stripped of their precious metal, ease open, "King Hezekiah, Your Highness, Eliakim and Shebna have returned, with word from Isaiah."

"What did the Lord say?"

"He said, 'Do not be afraid.' "

From Beka's Journal:

A Cliff

So here we are, with the last of our homework neatly turned in, our house....not so neat, subject to the upheaval of preparations for our next move.

Day by day, we are taking the step immediately before us, but it feels like a cliff is fast approaching and our God is beckoning us to jump.

We must hold fast to Him, though our doubts assail us with a million reasons this won't work. Peaceful-feeling, alluring reasons to turn back. Instead we must listen to the whisper that says "Do not be afraid. Follow Me."

One choice feels safe and organized, the other asks,
"Do You trust Me or not?"

And we will answer, "Yes."

The Lord has gripped our hearts from the beginning with the cause of bringing His Word to unreached people groups. As we prayed for direction, we began to see some of the ways He had already prepared us for an aviation/medical role supporting the missionaries who are living with those groups in remote locations.

Now we are trusting Him for the rest of the preparation:

Flight School, here we come.

Thank You!

Thank you for all the letters!! They have meant so much to us. We feel that your prayers have carried us through this time, and your gifts over these past few months have really freed us to focus on finishing strong here at training.

Thanks for being our team. We need you, we love you, and we're excited to see what the Lord does as we continue to walk with Him.

We Graduated!

Thank you for praying and supporting us during our time here at the Missionary Training Center!

Here's a (small) picture of our class:

Some of the places they are headed: Tanzania, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia.

Pray for them! We are excited to see how the Lord uses each one in what He is doing around the world.
