Call out for Plant Fair Volunteers

The upcoming Spring Plant Fair is on Saturday September the 14th.
Can you spare a couple of hours to help out on the stall? We need people to sell plants, and seeds. You won't be left on your own! There are always at least 3 people rostered on at once. You don't need to be an expert - all the seeds are labelled, there are print outs of what to plant when and there are other people around to answer questions on plants you don't know.

6:30 to 8:30am - 2 people for Set Up Team

8:00 to 10:00am - Fully subscribed, thank you

10:00 to 12:00pm - Fully subscribed, thank you

12:00 to 2:00pm - 1 person for Afternoon Team

2:00 to 3:30pm - Fully subscribed, thank you

At the moment we are short on volunteers and some members are already doing multiple shifts.

If we don't get more volunteers we will move the Set Up to 8am. Selling won’t start until around 9:00am which means a lot of lost sales for our group.

If you can do it, please contact Gillian - by Email or phone 0481 317 281

Update on BSS stall events

Raffle cancelled - BSS won’t hold a raffle this year as raffles are out of fashion and ticket sales have been low at recent plant fairs

Fruit and Vegetable Boxes - If BSS members have surplus fruit or vegetables they have grown, please  bring these along so that the BSS Stall can sell these items to customers. Please bundle your excess produce into small convenient parcels and label with a suggested price.

If you have any enquiries, please contact Gillian - by Email or phone 0481 317 281

Donation / drop-off of plant materials for BSS stall

We also need donations of seedlings. Please bring them along on the day.

If you can't make it to the plant fair on Saturday or will be arriving late in the day, but have material you would like to donate, you can drop it at Gillian's house before the 14th of September.

Please be aware that if you intend to leave plant produce for the fruit and vegetable boxes, Gillian is  not able to provide refrigeration. Therefore, please do not leave highly perishable goods at Gillian's house a few days before the plant fair.

Drop off point: Gillian's carport
19 Henry Boultwood Drive

If you have any enquiries on dropping off materials for the plant fair, please contact Gillian - by Email or phone 0481 317 281
