Garden visit to Shambaba Retreat

Another joyful meetup for BSS at tranquil Shambaba, rich in exchange of ideas and produce.

We started off in the Mandala Garden and took part in a ceremonial ringing bowls experience. Then we stretched our legs to roam the park-like gardens, discussing lychee, macadamia and pecan management.

A generous verandah with panoramic views was then the setting for nibbles & networking over a lingering lunch.

Many thanks to Steve and his lovely wife for the warm hospitality and pleasure of the day.

Diary Dates

Bellingen Farmers & Producers Markets

Wednesday, 30th September, 2.30pm - 5:30pm
Bellingen Market Park, Church St, Bellingen (next to the Tennis Courts)
I feel the need, the need for seed!

Society can try to stand still, but we gardeners are still growing!  In our old stomping grounds at Bellingen Market Park, we plan to hold a stall, to get those seeds out and powering up. Come on down, buy your faves and maybe try something new.

And support our hardworking local growers ☺

We have not committed to any other dates for seed sales at this market.

Please come along if you need seed, would like to pick the brains of one of the BSS seed gurus, have something to share or just want a friendly chat.

Spring Equinox with David in Gleniffer

Saturday September 26th, 12:00pm-3:00pm

Previously, many of us have reveled at David Pepper's solstice gathings. To mix it up in this mixed-up year, we're having a spring equinox meet, to spark up a little joy in the warming of the season. Come along and enjoy David's unique humour and eccentric style in his Gleniffer food-forest garden.

Numbers of course will have to be limited, so RSVP to grab a place, then details and directions will be given to successful respondents. Please keep in mind the concerns of current times for the good of all.

Coming? RSVP to obtain the address and so we know who’s attending, even if you already know how to get there.
