Call out for Plant Fair Volunteers

The upcoming Spring Plant Fair is on Saturday September the 14th.
Can you spare a couple of hours to help out on the stall? We need people to sell plants, and seeds. You won't be left on your own! There are always at least 3 people rostered on at once. You don't need to be an expert - all the seeds are labelled, there are print outs of what to plant when and there are other people around to answer questions on plants you don't know.

6:30 to 8:30am - 3 people for Set Up Team

8:00 to 10:00am - Fully subscribed, thank you

10:00 to 12:00pm - 1 person for Mid-Morning Team

12:00 to 2:00pm - 2 people for Afternoon Team

2:00 to 3:30pm - Fully subscribed, thank you

All time slots are allocated on a first-volunteer-first-selected basis.

We also need donations of seedlings. Please bring them along on the day or let us know if you're not coming and we'll arrange a drop off/collection.

If you can do it, please contact Gillian - by Email
plantfair@bellingenseedsavers.com or phone 0481 317 281

Update on BSS stall events

Raffle cancelled - BSS won’t hold a raffle this year as raffles are out of fashion and ticket sales have been low at recent plant fairs

Fruit and Vegetable Boxes - If BSS members have surplus fruit or vegetables they have grown, please  bring these along so that the BSS Stall can sell these items to customers. Please bundle your excess produce into small convenient parcels and label with a suggested price.

If you have any enquiries, please contact Gillian - by Email plantfair@bellingenseedsavers.com or phone 0481 317 281

Update on seed labelling

We expect the garden visit to John and Carol's food forest in Fernmount to be well attended. Due to John and Carol's long term generosity to the Bellingen Seed Savers and the well deserved reputation of their garden.

The seed labelling which is scheduled to take place after the garden visit will only require a handful of people, i.e. don't let the seed labelling put you off coming to the garden visit.

Come along for the tour, shared lunch, and to swap stories and plant propagation materials.

Please click here to RSVP, to obtain the address and so we know who’s attending. Please RSVP even if you already know how to get there.
