WATCH: Second Senate Project Debate with Sens. Portman and Murphy
On Monday, the Orrin G. Hatch Foundation—in partnership with the Edward M. Kennedy Institute and the Bipartisan Policy Center—hosted Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) for the second Senate Project debate. The debate covered a wide range of topics, from inflation and gun control to foreign policy and immigration. The Senators also discussed the importance of civility and ways to restore the reputation of the Senate as “the world’s greatest deliberative body.”
On Tuesday, Hatch Foundation Executive Director Matt Sandgren joined Boyd Matheson of KSL’s Inside Sources to unpack the most significant takeaways from the exchange between Portman and Murphy and to preview the third Senate Project debate, which will take place in Utah.
