New Administrative Access to Improve Metadata Quality

HathiTrust recently completed a pilot project to give senior level metadata professionals at depositing institutions special administrative access to view in-copyright works for the purpose of remediating and/or enriching records in their local catalog. Once improved, the records were resubmitted to HathiTrust. UCSD’s own Ryan Finnerty was one of the participants. Based on the success of the pilot, HathiTrust will now provide this access to other senior metadata professionals at depositing institutions who are interested in doing quality improvement work. For more information, view the slides and video from the recent webinar.
