Is 2017 a prime number? It looks like a prime number.

Greetings from the abandoned goldfields of Central Victoria and welcome to the first of these for 2017.
It's been a while since I bombed your inbox and boy a lot has happened, huh? In the world, I mean.
I've decided that instead of dumping random writing-related thoughts at you every month regardless, I'll just send these out when I've got some new work out that I'd like you to know about.
Which is to say: I had some stuff published recently and here are links to where you can read it or hear it.
Tincture published my poem about Xeno's paradox and voicemail in issue 16 of their delightful ebook journal. You can buy that issue for the far-from-hefty sum of $8 Australian direct from their website.
Going Down Swinging published a recording of "Arrival", the first poem in my Poem: Spaceknight cyborg romance comic book verse novel rock opera, as part of their Red Corner series. I had a ball recording it and I'm really happy with the spookyelectro stylings it ended up with. You can listen to it for free on the Red Corner SoundCloud page.
Finally, cordite published the not-actually-that-TMI-as-it-would-seem "I’m Worried That My Increasingly Complex Shower Masturbation Routine is Unethical Because of The Amount of Water I Use" in their new "Confession" issue. Editor Keri Glastonbury called it "the obligatory male masturbatory poem… updated for the end of the anthropocene", which bemuses or pleases me. Maybe both.
That's all for the moment. Hope you like the poems. Love to hear what you think of them. More from me down the track as things eventuate.

This was written on Dja Dja Wurrung Country.
