- She will receive the Rising Star recognition as part of the Women's Justice Awards by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. The Rising Star Award is awarded to women lawyers 40 or under or within the first 10 years of practice who have already made a difference in the justice system or the profession and who appear on a path toward even greater accomplishment.
- She was featured in a recent issue of KC Counselor magazine in a story about women law firm managing partners. The article is entitled, "Leading the Way: Women Managing Partners in the Kansas City Legal Community." Click here to read the article.
- She will speak at the Mizzou Women's Law Association Symposium on April 14, 2017. She will be a part of a panel of pioneering women who broke barriers in the legal field.

Amanda Pennington Ketchum co-led a presentation on cyber-security for law firms including recent trends in litigation and insurance coverage. The title of the presentation was, "'Shore'-ing Up Your Firm's Data Security, Protecting Against Cyber Security-related Claims Arising from Shore v. Johnson & Bell." This was part of the USLAW Managing Partner Meeting.

Hoffman Speaks on Panels at Transportation Conferences

Ken Hoffman was on a panel of speakers at the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) Annual Conference April 5 - 8 on a topic entitled, "Add Cross-Border Carriage into the Mix" and will also be on a panel at the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA) Annual Conference April 25 - 29 on a topic entitled, "New Solutions for Old Obstacles: Cross-Border Motor Carrier Operations in North America."

Judy to Graduate from United Way Governance Academy

Mike Judy will graduate from the United Way Governance Academy in early May. This is a year-long, in-depth education program designed to help prepare individuals from throughout our community for volunteer leadership within United Way. The program requires that its participants meet the following criteria:
- Have established leadership in their career
- Be engaged in other civic organizations as board members or in key voluntary leadership responsibilities
- Have a passion and commitment for human services work
- Be a current or prospective leadership donor to United Way
- Show an awareness and sensitivity to the growing diversity in the KC metro area

Dysart Taylor Attends USLAW Spring Conference

Kansas City Gaelic Athletic Club Including Geary Serve as Grand Marshals of 2017 Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade
|

Matt Geary along with his fellow members of the Kanas City Gaelic Athletic Club (KCGAC) served as the 2017 Grand Marshal of the Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade. The KCGAC was founded in a church basement in 2008, and it has grown its membership through the years. Its mission is to promote the Irish sports of hurling and Gaelic football and to promote Irish culture.
Last year, both its hurling and Gaelic football teams saw great improvement and success, winning three tournaments, high finishes in other big tournaments, and peaking at the National tournament in Seattle, where the KCGAC defeated Tacoma for the winner’s cup.
