Looking Glass Views
An Artist's Newsletter - 4th Edition, February 2015
February can often be a cold and dreary time of the year, but this year the studio is full of energy and love as 2016 sees yet more progress in getting my art out there and visible.
It started with an invitation in December last year to feature my work in the newly launching Gallery Muro catalog, due to be out in early March. Aimed specifically at the interior design end of the art market, this will see my glass paintings reach an entirely new audience alongside some amazing artists in a variety of media.
Then last month I was invited to join The Magic Lamp house, 7 Dials Trail, for this year's Artist Open Houses. Part of the Brighton Festival that happens every May, this event will introduce my work to Brighton for the first time - if you live close then I hope to see you there. Until then you can follow The Magic Lamp on Facebook and Twitter. They are a friendly group of artists working in a wide range of media, catering to a range of home decor tastes so it's worth checking them out! Closer to the time I promise to let you know what days I will be on hand to welcome visitors.
In the meantime you can continue to follow progress of my current commission on social media (noting you DON'T need to have any accounts to take a look) or read my most recent blog post on creativity and "Just Letting Go" - click here to read it now.
And until next month I wish you a lucky Chinese New Year, a tasty Pancake Day/Mardi Gras, a loving Valentine's, a well-child half-term holiday (as appropriate) and an unexpectedly magical Leap Day - after all they are rarer than Blue Moons these days! Look it up if you don't believe me ;)
With lots of love from the far side of the glass,
