Each month we will bring you all the news about what's happening not only at The Bedford Chronicles but also with our history, heritage, and cultural friends across Bedford.

Partnering with The John Bunyan Museum, The Panacea Museum, The Quarry Theatre, Bedfringe and the John Bunyan Boat.

Bedford Theatre In Education

Following the success of their school run earlier this year, Bedford Theatre In Education will be performing three, yes three, FREE shows of the, Vikings of Bedford - Spear of The Gods, at Love Bedford Day on Sunday 24th July at Harpur Square.
Love Bedford Day is free to attend and open to all.

 Bedford Stories - The Film

As part of Love Bedford Day and in partnership with Future Legend Media, The Bedford Chronicles will be part of an ambitious project, BEDFORD STORIES’ - capturing as many stories of Bedford as we can in just 5 hours! 
To make this happen we need your help!
Take part in this film which will be available for all to see, it's FREE and no acting skills are required. You can do as much, or as little, as you like. Can you share your 30-second story or memory of Bedford with us? Can your children tell us what they love the most? There are lots of opportunities to get involved in this unique project.

We have created an event and recommend that you book a slot. 

The John Bunyan Boat

What better way to spend a warm summer afternoon than on The John Bunyan Boat !

Bedford Borough Libraries

2016 marks 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl - the world's number one storyteller and Bedford Borough Libraries will be joining in the fun with their Summer Reading Challenge.

The Quarry Theatre

 The Quarry Theatre on St Peters Street hosts a wealth of theatre throughout the year. Their summer program is now live so check out the website  to find out what's coming up.

The Panacea Museum

There’s lots going on at the Panacea Museum this summer. There are free trails and puzzles for families to complete inside the museum and a selection of traditional lawn games to enjoy in the beautiful gardens.
Visitors will have the chance to handle objects from the Museum’s collection and the Garden Tea Shop is open all day and has outdoor seating overlooking Castleside lawn.

The John Bunyan Museum

 The John Bunyan Museum located on Mill Street is the home of all things Bunyan. Bunyan is one of Bedford's most famous residents and the museum gives visitors a glimpse into what his life was like
